Direct primary care gives you more time, transparency, and control over your child’s healthcare. With this model, you don’t have to worry about rushing through an appointment or getting a surprise bill—just personalized, prevention-focused care built around your family’s needs.

Direct primary care is a membership-based healthcare model that replaces insurance billing with a simple monthly fee. It allows families to build a trusted relationship with their provider and receive care when they need it without copays, red tape, or time limits.
Members can come in as often as needed without paying per appointment.
Skip the waiting game with priority scheduling for members.
Reach Krissy by text or portal messages—no front desk or delays.
Get the time and attention your child deserves at every appointment.
Krissy is a dual certified pediatric nurse practitioner in both primary and acute care through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) with a decade of experience in critical care, primary care, and functional pediatrics. As a new mom herself, she founded Happy Kids Pediatrics to offer the intentional, deeper pediatric care she wished existed.
Krissy uniquely blends conventional medicine with holistic strategies, like nutritional support, lifestyle guidance, and lab testing.
Krissy looks beyond symptoms to identify and address what’s really going on.
Members will always be able to talk directly with Krissy through texts and portal messages.
Krissy takes the time to listen to and collaborate with parents, respecting each family’s values and choices.

"I’m here alongside you in caring for your child. My goal is to help you feel confident and supported every step of the way."
Direct primary care is built for busy families who want reliable access, a trusted provider, and clear communication. It’s ideal for new parents, families with frequent illnesses, or anyone who wants to feel truly supported throughout their child’s health journey.
Rather than just treating symptoms, we focus on root causes, early intervention, and long-term wellness.
You’ll always know what to expect. Membership includes all routine and sick visits, with transparent pricing for everything else.
You’ll have direct communication with Krissy to handle anything that comes up quickly and confidently, from weekend fevers to forms deadlines.
When you walk through the door, you’ll be welcomed by Krissy herself. We stagger appointments intentionally, which means you won’t be sharing space with other sick kids or rushing to check in at a front desk.
We’ll take the time getting to know both you and your child. Krissy handles everything personally, from taking vitals to walking through your child’s health history, development, and routines. This is your time to ask questions and share concerns.
The first visit is longer than a typical pediatric appointment because we do more than just check boxes. For infants, we’ll discuss the pregnancy and birth experience. For older children, we’ll look closely at sleep, diet, behavior, and growth, all with a focus on root causes and preventive care.
You’ll walk away with an individualized care plan that reflects your child’s unique needs and your parenting philosophy. Our goal is always to help your child thrive, grow, and reach their fullest potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Whether you’re looking for ongoing support for your child or just need an occasional visit, we offer flexible pricing options to fit your family’s needs. Our membership plans include unlimited visits, direct access to your provider, and transparent prices. There are zero commitments—you can cancel at any time. We also offer a fee-for-service model for those who prefer to pay per visit.
Monthly pricing tailored to your child’s stage of development.
Root-cause assessments with member discounts.
All pricing is listed up front, so there aren’t any hidden fees or surprise bills.

Yes. Happy Kids Pediatrics is in-network with Horizon BCBS, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare for primary care services. To maintain the extended visits, direct access, and the personalized support we’re known for, we charge an annual office fee per patient, covering time and services that insurance typically doesn’t reimburse.
Families without in-network coverage can still choose membership or per-visit pricing for flexible, transparent care.
If you’re a member, you can text or call Krissy directly without dealing with a front desk or triage line. This model gives you peace of mind knowing you always have support when you need it.
That’s okay! We offer a fee-for-service model with transparent, up-front pricing for families who prefer to pay per visit. This includes wellness exams, sick visits, and physicals.
