Krissy is a dual certified pediatric nurse practitioner in both primary and acute care through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) with over a decade of hands-on experience. Her clinical background includes neonatal and pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, emergency care, and developmental pediatrics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Sacred Heart University and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Rutgers University. Her research focused on childhood obesity and sparked her deep interest in nutrition, gut health, and prevention-based pediatric care.
Throughout her career, Krissy saw how traditional healthcare models left families feeling rushed and unheard. After spending time in fast-paced clinics where seeing 30–40 patients a day was the norm, she decided to build something different. Happy Kids Pediatrics was born from her desire to slow things down, create space for honest conversations, and help children build strong foundations for lifelong wellness.
Krissy’s approach blends conventional medicine with functional tools like nutrition guidance, lab testing, and lifestyle support. She focuses on helping families navigate complex concerns like ADHD, eczema, picky eating, and anxiety. Above all, she believes in empowering parents with evidence and options for their child’s health.

“You’re the parent,” she says. “I can give recommendations and tell you what the data says. But I’m here to support you either way."
When you walk through the door, you’ll be welcomed by Krissy herself. We stagger appointments intentionally, which means you won’t be sharing space with other sick kids or rushing to check in at a front desk.
We’ll take the time getting to know both you and your child. Krissy handles everything personally, from taking vitals to walking through your child’s health history, development, and routines. This is your time to ask questions and share concerns.
The first visit is longer than a typical pediatric appointment because we do more than just check boxes. For infants, we’ll discuss the pregnancy and birth experience. For older children, we’ll look closely at sleep, diet, behavior, and growth, all with a focus on root causes and preventive care.
You’ll walk away with an individualized care plan that reflects your child’s unique needs and your parenting philosophy. Our goal is always to help your child thrive, grow, and reach their fullest potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
